We Have Been Staying In Marie-Rose For 9 Days And

'4.5 stars: We have been staying in Marie-Rose for 9 days and can recommend the appartment to any couple or single, who comes, as we did, to Vienna by car (Parking, to be paid, in the basement)and who loves a panoramic view of the city from the elegant Seidler-building. The appartment is comfortable and offers all you could wish for a pleasant stay:supermarket and bakery at a few minutes walk. So is the underground-station, from where Line 1 brings you in 5 minutes to Stephansplatz. When you need a break from sightseeing Vienna,one can relax, walking or biking,on the nearby Donau-Insel.
Last but not least: the owners live in the same building and are, when needed, very helpfull.'

'4.5 stars: A very efficient modern, high-rise apartment on the eleventh floor outside the centre of Vienna, with amazingly efficient U Bahn undergound connections to the centre of town. Vienna is a real treasure trove and all those Hapsburg Palaces are now very imaginatively, artistically and efficiently run - with super Coffee Shops, clean loos, etc and polite, helpful, English-speaking staff everywhere. The Schonbrunn Palace makes the Chateau de Versailles outside Paris look quite pathetic, by comparison! The state of the Euro at the moment is not good news for English visitors, as everything costs half as much again as it does at home in the current economic climate.
Martina - a kind Austrian lady, was waiting for us in the apartment when we arrived with a key, etc.
For clients coming from the UK or North America, the option of a pre-paid, small "Welcome Pack" of basic groceries - such as milk, bread and jam, would be enormously appreciated! Finding one's way to a local grocery shop in this rather bizarre UNO-City neighbourhood takes quite a bit of doing in a largely German-speaking world, when you have just got off a plane and are feeling pretty disoriented!
The newly renovated apartment itself is comfortable, warm and well-equipped - light and airy, and it was spotlessly clean. The new kitchen equipment was super, but the overhead cooker hood fan & light do not yet appear to have been wired up electrically. We never managed to work out how to operate the super, high-tech coffee- making machine, so we made coffee in a jug all week!
The facility of WiFi and a DVD player would have been a bonus - but it was good to be able to watch BBC & NBC on
TV.
The Shower and Bath both work very well, and there is plenty of hot water. We did some clothes washing in super, modern Miele machines in the basement of the building at very low cost.
The precise instructions on how to find the apartment and getting there from the airport by Coach, supplied by Rosemarie were extremely helpful and efficient - as was her Welcome folder left for us in the flat.'

The modern kitchen and bathroom were fantastic, and the bedroom was comfortable and homey. Building amenties such as laundry and fitness center were a big plus, and the owners were helpful and available whenever we needed them. I also loved the apartment's proximity to Danube Island with its miles and miles of beautiful biking and walking trails. Thank you for a lovely stay!'
